August 2010

After our crazy month of July, it was actually nice to spend some time at home in August! We also enjoyed some of our favorite small-town activities! Strasburg Hometown Days was one of the first things we attended when we moved here and we have loved it ever since. This year, Carter and I were able to participate in the parade with a group of little Cheerleaders I had taught earlier that week. All of the girls were super cute with their matching tees and pom pons.... however, Carter refused to carry pom pons and instead danced all by herself in the front of the group.

The following weekend was the Deer Trail Rodeo which also included a parade. This time we watched while Daddy and his football team rode in the parade.

Other fun outings this month included an evening trip to Boulder so Daddy could watch their football practice. The girls and I enjoyed frozen yogurt and a walk along the Pearl Street Mall. We also made a visit to the Zoo, which is becoming even more fun as Colby gets old enough to notice and get excited about the animals.

With a fun summer behind us now, we are greatly looking forward to an exciting football season! Look for frequent updates as Aaron's team marches toward their goal of post-season play!
