I can't believe my little monkey is FOUR! Rather than doing a party this year, we opted to give Carter a big-girl pamper day instead. It was SO much fun! It was also great that her birthday happened to fall on a preschool day, so she was able to bring a Scooby Doo cake and have her classmates sing to her. After school, we visited Tara's Techniques in Byers for a special birthday haircut, hoping to rejuvenate her girls and clean up the layers. Tara did an awesome job and we immediately saw some of her curls come back. Next, it was home for lunch and naps!
After nap, we dropped Colby off at Grandma's and Carter and I headed into town. First stop was Sweet & Sassy where she was treated to her first manicure & pedicure. She loved it! She also got to pick out 2 toe rings and walk the runway! Dinner at Old Chicago was super yummy and it worked out that their Wednesday special is for kids to make their own pizza. Carter spread the sauce, sprinkled the cheese and carefully placed the pepperoni on her own pizza.
After dinner, we headed to Cold Stone for her FREE kids size cup. I signed her up for just about every Kids Birthday Club out there, so we also picked up a FREE cupcake at Barnes & Noble - which we took home to put candles in with the family.
Finally, I couldn't resist sharing a flash-back photo of Carter on November 3, 2006 - her BIRTHday :)
