January 2010
January has come to an end and we had so much fun! In addition to getting back in our routine of school, gymnastics and basketball games, we also threw in a week long trip to Portland! This trip was filled with play dates that kept Carter very entertained and we all had a great time. Our first visit was to Great Grandma & Grandpa's house where the girls wreaked havoc on their beautiful living room. Luckily (or well-planned), the cleaning people came later that day and restored order :)
Other playdates included an outing to the coffee shop across the street from Grammy & Dadoo's where we met Emma (Kelsey's other niece) and her Mommy. The girls played for about 2 hours while the Moms talked and Grammy even read them stories. The next day we had a playdate at home with Raishel (Kelsey's "little sis")where the girls played with Play-Doh and colored. Finally, we had one more get-together at a great indoor play place called the Me Too Cafe. This time we met Marcella, who is also 3, and her little brother, Quincy. Their Daddy now works with Dadoo and their Mommy makes fabulous hair accessories.
On our last day in Portland, I took Carter ice skating at Lloyd Center where they offer a Preschool age Skate Club. We may have only been on the ice about 20 minutes, but it was worth the effort and made for some great photo ops. Now, we are back home again and ready for a February full of lots of basketball, preschool and fun.

yeah...a comment section! :) Love the new pictures. Seeing the Lloyd Center brought back so many fun memories of trips up there. Have a great week with your precious girls!
