After such a busy month of December, I am in complete disbelief that January is now over too! And, probably the hardest thing for me to comprehend, Colby is now the age that Carter was when we moved to Colorado. I set my screen saver to a slideshow of pics of Carter at Colby's current age and it really hit me when the pics stopped showing our life in AZ and began showing our life here. I am still amazed that we are coming up on our 3 year anniversary here. We are so thankful for the many good things DT has allowed us to enjoy: me being a stay-at-home Mommy, Sunday dinners with family and always having Grandma & Poppa nearby! But, we also still greatly miss Arizona!

During the month of January, the girls and I made our regularly-scheduled visit up to Portland and were treated to a coinciding visit from my cousin, Jill, and her two kiddos, Haile & Cole. We all had a sleep over at my parents' condo and the kids had an absolute blast together. We also spent as much time as possible with my Grandparents, hoping an extra dose of love and attention would help heal my Grandmother's recent ailments. On two other days we visited an awesome new play place called PlayDate PDX, where the girls climbed, slid, jumped and ran around to their hearts content. Despite some very wet, gray weather, we thoroughly enjoyed each and every day of our visit!
